The Rhythm Centre

Roots

The creative force behind The Rhythm Centre is Suzie Craddock who was a pioneer in Australia in the Spa and Wellness Industry for a decade. Suzie opened her own International College of Therapies where she taught for over 23 years and created and delivered "The Associate Diploma of Health and Science" program. The past 10 years Suzie has been attending and participating in the 5 Rhythms Practice and other well-known Embodied Movement Dance practices both in the USA and Europe. She has braided her experiences and expertise into supporting the wisdom of the body to do what it needs to do through rich ritualistic movement practices woven with interactive expressive arts.

She has fashioned a practical approach to cultivate awareness and awaken the inner senses as a catalyst to discover one's inner sanctuary for healing and to expand and create awareness of the body's needs and rhythms as part of our daily lives. The primary goal on the dance floor is to celebrate ,access and engage in subtle Deeperdene movements to "Pause" so one can take the time to develop our inner resources .By also exploring body sensations through various ritual movement practices as part of the amazing 5 Rhythms maps.Suzie believes "Navigation of the psyche is the central theme in our work in dance therapy as it's engages a transpersonal paradigm ". Using movement to become curious can help describe a great deal of our daily life to answer the questions what drives us and shapes our psyche and behavior.

"Opening the door" of our inner dance world assists us to see in what ways the life of the soul has been compromised ,by giving us insight, and awareness of our movement /life dance stories.Attempting to understand these dance maps through self-expression by removing obstacles, relating to others and accepting and validating our bodies, allows the movement to do it self .This is the essence that gives us a road map to the knowledge of the unconscious activities of the mind . She will offer these "DeeperDene" Movement Meditation Practices as a unified art form in Bali and Perth.

Together with a selected board she has created The Rhythm Centre which will open in 2014 as a dedicated centre for the development of a searching "Conversation" through Movement, Wellness and the Arts. The Rhythm Centre offers to support Personal, Community, Professional and Global needs through its programme of Movement based classes and will include Expressive Arts as a core component of this movement contemplative practice. She believes there is a multitude of reasons why Dance has evolved into a moving laboratory of meditation practices." Lack of Connection, Cultural, Spiritual, Social, and Economic needs".
